Head Vs Pipeline
Well, last week I was forced to do some topside work and like a fish out of water I got hurt. Here is a photo of the bandages:

As you can see I basically received a boxer's cut on the upper eyelid. It didn't actually cause any pain, I only realize that I was cut by the reaction of the other fellows around me.
This is how it happened, We were hot bolting a flange and we were down to switching out the last bolt. It happened that this bolt was stuck in it's bolthole and also being in a tight spot. After trying a number of different methods of removing the bolt, a decision of cutting it out with a saw was made. The bolt was cut right in the middle of the flange. The bottom half dropped right out of the bolthole. The top half didn't move at all. There was an attempt to saw right under the nut of the top part of the bolt. There was no room to get to the bolt there. I had the idea to get a crowbar to prey the bolt up to get the blade room to cut. Of course the crowbar slipped and my head hit the pipeline. The after effect is that I received the cut and my headbutt seemed to have shut in the entire field. So I leave it to you to see who really lost the most here.
